Happy Fall to All! It has still been pretty warm here in Connecticut, but soon sweater knitting weather will become sweater-wearing weather. It has become sock-wearing weather and I have already been wearing my hand-knit socks! I love showing them off in my clear shoes and sandals! (I know, I swore I’d never do that, but…) Please be sure to read all this month's news! We have a return of a KAL, a book preorder, and some fun events scheduled.

Book Pre-Order Opportunity

This book is a new release from KnitDesignsbyTian aka Tain Connaughton. She designs both knit and crochet items designed to fit every body! She contacted me wanting to know if I would be interested in carrying her book in the shop. My immediate answer, YES! This looks like it is going to be soooooo good! Whether you are looking to design for multiple body types or just make things for you, it is covered here.

KNIT NIGHT and NEEDLE FELTING

Knit Night is the 2nd Thursday of the month wich is October 10th! Come join us for great drinks, maybe your favorite food truck and of course fiber fun! It starts at 6:30pm!!!!

This month's food truck for Knit Night is Fat City Kid! 

This month's needle felting is October 19th at 6:30pm and we are making Scarry Spiders on Creepy Culdrons! This one is gonna be fun!!!! Let your creativity run wild as you make either a purple or black spider with crazy eyes and fangs! He is working on some crazy potions in that culdron! All the materials you need are included and so is the beverage of your choice. Space is limited on this event so don't delay! Sign up at https://www.luppoleto.com/crafting/

The food truck during needle felting is Rolling Smokehouse. 

Other Events

Each year Windsor holds the Chili Challenge and Lions Craft Fair. This year it is October 12th. That also happens to be I love Yarn Day! So come spend the day with us and show those Chili people how much you love yarn! 

October 31st is Halloween of course and it is also the Nightmare on Broad Street! If you are coming to shop that day be sure to scare us early in the day because the road gets shut down by 5 for the kids. We will be out with treats for all the ghosts and goblins as they come trick or treat until 7:30 pm. Come join the fun in costume and knit in the dark if you dare!!! 

We will continue to be OPEN one Sunday a month. The Sunday we are open in October is the 13th from 11 am to 4 pm.
