Happy N"EWE' Year... a week in already!

Happy New Year!
It's crazy but we are actually already a week into 2025! How does the time fly like that!?!
I hope this first week of the year has found you well and maybe into a fun new project.
New Year, New Yarn!
Sure I am over here with a pile of projects that should have been completed in 2024, but 2025 has new yarn and new inspiration on its horizon. I hope that you are feeling it too!
Our Knit-a-long is back this month, perhaps this is the project to get your year jump-started.
While we are not hosting an offical event, we are collecting mittens in any childrens' size you might be willing to make and donate. They were requested by a local organization and we would like to support the need. They can be dropped off at the shop anytime through February.
Happy 2025 to all! May you be well and have a year full of fiber!

January's KAL

Starting January 20th we will be making Anja's Hat.

https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/anjas-hat

It's a very cute and stylish newsboy-style cap knit in worsted-weight yarn. Shop regular, Sheila just made one for herself in Jaspeda and now everyone who sees it wants one. There are so many great choices of yarn for this hat you may want to make 2!

The KAL will be held via Zoom over 2 weeks. Joining the KAL is free with yarn purchase. If you want to join us and use stash yarn, the cost is $10. The pattern is $5 and can be purchased through Ravelry following the link above. We look forward to you joining in, and I can't wait to see all the hats.

KNIT NIGHT and NEEDLE FELTING

Knit Night will continue in 2025!!! Still the 2nd Thursday of the month! Come join us for great drinks, maybe your favorite food truck and of course fiber fun! It starts at 6:30pm!!!! Knit Night is this Thursday January 9th.

This month's food truck for Knit Night is King of Pearl!

Our needle felting class will be on the 23rd at 6:30 pm and we are making cups of hot chocolate. This little project was inspired by Jen (owner of Luppoleto). While they don't serve the beloved beverage, they do sometimes offer locally made hot chocolate bombs for you to take home and enjoy. You will be in luck, with this class you will also get a hot chocolate bomb to take home! That's one sweet needle felting class, a great beverage while making something fun and a great beverage to enjoy later! Special Workshop with Terri Spins: Color Blending on Hand Cards Februrary 8th at 2pm

Description: Have you ever wanted just a little bit of color for your spinning or knitting project? Have you ever wanted to spin your own gradient yarn? In this workshop, we will play with blending small amounts of fiber to create just the yarn that you want for your color work projects. We will work on blending colors to create gradient yarns. We will try our hand at blending different types of fibers together to create additional color effects. We will discuss ways to transfer this knowledge to blending larger amounts of fiber for larger projects.
